I haven't heard so much snap music since the mid-aughties. It sounds weird here just like, let's be honest, it sounds a little weird in the U.S. The Internet cafe was just playing some Ying Yang Twins-sounding song with a Too Short guest-spot unceremoniously crammed into the last 45 seconds, and it sounded great. Number two Guatemalan rap-music moment right behind the time I heard "Rough Riders Anthem" at a club, which immediately brought me back to a time (ten years ago) when all I did was hang out in the back of Joe Pulido's truck, and DMX had apparently yet to go completely insane. ("What the fuck is a Barack?! Barack Obama. Where he from, Africa?")
